#2: Unusual dungeons

If a dungeon is defined as any enclosed space which has several distinct areas, what are some unusual (or rather strange) locations for a dungeon?

  1. A sunken ship.

    A crashed spaceship.

    A series of interconnected cages.

The inside of a large creature.

  4. The roof of an odd shaped building or any other place where the space is enclosed by a steep drop.

If the PC's were turned into living gas, they could go dungeoneering inside of glass tubes. Maybe some kind of alchemist's workshop.

    Inside of a multi-level genie's lamp.

Inside a giant tree with carved out corridors and rooms.

  5. A submarine (yellow, of course).

    An airplane.

    The rails of a roller-coaster.

    A factory.

  6. I once lured a party into a Wizard's Tower, then launched it into space like a rocket-ship and turned D&D into an Alien ripoff. It was good fun.
